VVS Laxman’s century

VVS Laxman
In the recently concluded India vs. Sri Lanka test match in which there were so many fluctuations of fortunes to both the teams. On the end of the fourth day, India were batting at 53 for 3. On day five, everyone thought Sri Lanka is having upper hand as the pitch is conducive to spin. Both Tendulkar and VVS Laxman managed to bat through some terrific bowling by Randiv. The spinner Randiv actually took two more wickets to take his tally to five wickets.

But at one end VVS Laxman stood his ground firmly and continue to bat through so efficiently even with a back problem and scoring a wonderful century for India. His innings contained 12 boundries and duly completed a century and became a not out batsman at 103 runs in 149 balls. This is Laxman’s 16th century and also helped his team to square the series.
