India win the Asia Cup final and more from th ODI rankings from third spot to second. India crushed the SriLankans in the final by 81 runs with the help of Indian seamers. Ashish Nehra bowled really well and he took four crucial wickets and gave away just 40 runs.Zaheer Khan took two wickets and Pravin Kumar took the crucial wicket of Dilshan.

Dhoni in the press meet said that bowling especially pace attack was a concern and this win ensures that the pacers have proved a point and it would be very good if they could carry this form and do well in the upcoming series also.

Jayasuriya and Mendis dropped for Asia Cup

SriLanka team have announced the squad for Asia Cup and the big changes that they have made is they have dropped mystery spinner Ajanth Mendis and the old horse Sanath Jayasuriya.They have included Maharoof.Sangakkara will lead the side and they would like to knock out India as they have done in the Zimbabwe series.

Mendis will be in the World Cup squad according to me but I guess this the end of the road for Sanath Jayasuriya.He has just 4 runs average in the last six International matches that he has played .Sangakkara will be the captain while Muralitharan has been named the vice captain.
