Good News to Chennai Super Kings

Today Royal Challengers Bangalore failed  their most crucial final match against Deccan Chargers. So they failed to qualify for the playoffs. Their defeat in Hyderabad allowed Chennai Super Kings to enter the playoffs in the fourth spot at the end of the league stage.
Deccan Chargers scored 132 for 7 in reply RCB scored 122 for 9 and DC won the match by 9 runs.  As CSKings and RCB are in the same points, because of run rate Chennai Suiper Kings enter the playoffs.

Chennai Super Kings Latest Position

Everybody knows that Chennai Super Kings, by two-time winners, are the best team.  But now the situation is that they are in the 6th position in the Points Table. Now all we expect from the players is another win. The team, and its captain MS Dhoni should concentrate what to do in the field.  So we expect Chennai Super Kings to play well and win the remaining matches.  Let wish all the very best to them

IPL 2012 Match 49 : Mumbai vs Chennai

Chennai vs Mumbai one of the best IPL matches that I have witnessed in this year's IPL. Mumbai won the toss and elected to field first. Chennai started off cautiously before Murali Vijay came to his own terms and blasted one over of Munaf Patel for 24 runs. Dhoni , Raina and Bravo chipped in with some useful runs and Chennai finished with a very good score of 173 in their allotted 20 overs.

Mumbai started of very sluggishly with Franklin failing to score even a single run of BenHilfenhaus 1st over. Sachin on the other end was cool and composed and he stroked away to accumulate runs at one end. Soon Franklin lost his wicket and in came Rohit Sharma, and he along with the company of Little Master Sachin made sure they had 100 run partnership at a steady rate.

Sachin and Rohit Sharma together made it look so easy, there was something spectacular required for Chennai to get back in to the game. That was the time when Fat Du Plessis plucked a spectacular catch from nowhere to get rid of Sachin. Jadeja then bowled a very good over just to give away 2 runs and pick up 2 wickets. By this time it was Chennai’s match but Smith scored 14 runs of last 3 balls to pull the rabbit out of the hat. I would term this as one of the best IPL matches in 2012 were neither of the teams deserved to loose.
