Muttiah Muralitharan’s retirement date
The legend off spinner Muttiah Muralitharanis considering his retirement during the test series between India and Sri Lanka that slated later this month. He also confirms by the way that he is retiring from Test Arena only and if the Board of control in Sri Lanka includes him in the playing squad for next year (2011) World Cup that is going to be held in Asia.
So far he has taken 507 wickets in One Day Internationals, 770 wickets in Test Cricket and 11 wickets in eight matches T20 format. Murali is also of the view if he were to achieve 1000 wickets he would have to play test cricket so regularly but of late that is not to be as T20 and One Day Internationals are occupying more the situation. Definitely it would be a huge loss for a nation like Sri Lanka when Murali say goodbye to World of Cricket.
