IPL Auction : Top 5 players in IPL4

IPL4 is getting bigger and the T20 tournament will start on April 8th. The player who was bought for the highest amount in this IPL is Gautam Gambhir who was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders for $2.4 millions. The other news is that Gautam Gambhir is likely to lead KKR since their prevous captain Ganguly has been ignored by all franchise which means Ganguly will not play in this IPL season.

Ganguly, the former Indian captain has been ignored by all the franchise and even on day two of the IPL auction no one requested his name for re auction which means Ganguly will be missing this years IPL. This also means that this might be the end to Dada's cricketing career since he has already retired from International cricket.

Dhoni turned the heat on KKR

Dhoni played a great innings to take CSK first out of trouble and then to make them reach a fighting total. Badrinath played a nice supporting role which helped Dhoni to have the launch pad at the end.Dhoni scored 66 runs of 33 balls at a strike rate of 200.The match was under total control of KKR at the end of 10 th over when CSK were 55/3.

Ganguly surprised with Dravid exclusion

Sourav Ganguly was surprised to know that Rahul Dravid was left out of the Indian team. Ganguly said that the series against Australia is an all important one and the experimentation to leave Dravid is quite a risk.Ganguly was not the only person to show his dissent since another former Indian captain Anil Kumble also felt that Dravid has a decent show in the ICC Champions trophy and so he should have been in the side.

Dravid's performance on the paper is that he has scored 180 runs in five matches at the average of 36 which is very decent when compared to some other players who performed very badly.Ganguly also said that it is up to the selectors since they no what is best needed for the team but they could have included Dravid especially for the experience that he has.
