Suresh Raina has become the prolific run scorer and his consistency makes him one of the best players from the younger generation. The special thing about Raina is his daring act of playing his natural game which is attacking the bowler and when it pays off the opposition team are clueless. Suresh Raina can also be called as a big match guy since during all the crunch games he delivers the goods.

Suresh Raina looks cool and composed even during tensed situation that makes him even more special. He is a brilliant fielder and with the addition of this IPL he has improved his bowling immensely and this makes him as a good utility all rounder in the near future. Well actually it is too early to call him Mr Dependable but if he continues his good run for the future he will surely be regarded as one of the Legends in the Indian Cricket history.

Hussey overtakes Dhoni to become ODI best batsman

Mike Hussey regains his No 1 spot after a year. MS Dhoni from India had been in the No1 spot for nearly an year.ICC recently released the rankings for ODI and Hussey overtook Dhoni by 4 points and he is now with 811 points at No1 spot. Dhoni is just 4 points behind him with 807 points.AB de Villiers and Hashim Amla are in the 3rd and the fourth place respectively.


The team rankings Australia are in No1 spot while India and South Africa are tied up in the second spot with 119 points.South Africa played impressive cricket against West Indies and by winning the series 5-0 made them gain some points and right now they are sharing the second spot with India.

Dhoni sweats it out in the nets

Dhoni and co had some intensive practice in the net session and they are confident that they can beat South Africa to level the series 1-1. South Africa proved t be too hot for India in the first Test and India lost the match well within four days.This is India's biggest loss by an Innings and in the last 26 years Indian in the home soil has never been defeated by an Innings but this record was broken and South Africa crashed India in less than four days in the Nagpur Test.

Dhoni is confident that India can bounce back in the series especially with Laxman being fit India have all the chances of leveling the series.India need to play really well from here on if they have any chances of squaring the series.Eden Gardens will miss Ganguly but can India strike under MS Dhoni.

India win series against West Indies 2-1

Indian team did not play very good cricket but still it managed to win the series against West Indies.This is the third consecutive win for Indian Cricket team abroad.India where totally down and out after the T20 early exit.This win will surely salvage some pride.

Rain was the hero in the last ODI between India and WestIndies with only 7 overs bowled in the whole match.Yuvraj Singh and M.S.Dhoni were the stand out batsman in the tour and Dinesh Karthik played his part.

Dhoni : India can defend Twenty20 title

M.S.Dhoni feels that Indian team as the fire power to defend the Title.He released a statement to the press in which he said that his team has a bunch of talented guys and if we all play as an unit and perform to our potential we can surely defend the T20 title.

Indian teams only concern now is that Zaheer Khan is not fully fit.Dhoni told that he hopes that Zack must be fit before the first match which starts for them on June 6th against the Bangladesh.There are no favorites in this form of the game but India can have a slight advantage when compared to the other teams because Indian players have played the IPL.I wish Indian team all success.JAI HO India !!!

Dhoni and Yuvraj will be trump card for team India: Chappell

Greg Chappell the foremer Indian coach feels that India have a edge when compared to the other teams in this Twenty Twenty format. T 2o is about how you play on that particular day but still I feel India are the hot favorites to retain the T20 World Cup.

Greg Chappell feels that M.S.Dhoni and Yuvraj are the trump card for Indian.even though they both had lean patches in the IPL he still feels that they can be very destructive.He also felt that Australia had to improve in this form of the game.He had a word of praise for Dhoni he termed him as one of the best captains in the present day.

IPL to have 10 teams from 2011 onwards

Lalit Modi the chairman and commissioner of IPL confirmed that there will be 10 teams in the IPL from 2011.Lalit Modi also hinted that they are planning to have two IPL's every year.One in India which will be a normal one another in South Africa or England which will be a shortened one.

Lalit Modi thanked the fans of South Africa for supporting IPL and told that they have witnessed some very close matches and he thanked all the players and the team franchise.Finally Modi said that from next year onwards IPL will be back in India.
