Shahid Afridi scores a great century

Shahid Afridi should be called the Hero of the Pakistan . Afridi scored a great century under pressure. He came in to the crease when Paksitan where tattering at 32/4 and scored a magnificent hundred. Afridi would have gone to win the match for Pakistan if Sangakkara had not caught such a spectacular catch.

Afridi scored 109 of just 76 balls with 8 fours and 7 sixes. He looked unstoppable until he got cramps. He scored his runs at a strike rate of nearly 150 making life very difficult for Sri Lankan bowlers.

Afridi was the only batsman who applied himself while the rest of the players played horrible cricket to hand over a humiliating loss to Srilanka. Akthar was another man who impressed me in this match who bowled his heart out. Akthar got 3 wickets in his 10 overs and gave away 41 runs.Even though Pakistan ended up in the loosing side Afridi is the real hero for me in this match.

Younis backs Afridi as captain

Waqar Younis backs Shahid Afridi as the captain of Pakistan for the longer form of the game also. I think he will do well and produce good results for Pakistan in the longer form of the game also.Pakistan legendary former cricketer Imran Khan also backed Afirdi as the Pakistan captain for a longer run.

Younis told that Pakistan team are in a rebuilding phase and it would take time for them to become a stronger unit. Shoib Akthar inclusion in the team is a surprise for him since he is not very sure whether the player is fit.
