Shane Warne fined $50,000

Shane Warne as been fined a huge amount for breach the IPL code of conduct. The reason behind such a big punishment is because , Shane Warne abused RCA cricket seceretary Sanjay Dixit during one of the IPL matches. A two member IPL disciplinary committee with IPL chairman Amin and former Indian captain Ravi Shashtri found Warne guilty and have fined him with such a big amount.

The committee also said that if this mistake is commited by Warne again he might face even more stern punishment which may be giving a ban for Warne from IPL. However Warne will not play the next IPL since the legendary leg spinner is going to retire from IPL this year.

Pune Warriors crush Kings XI Punjab for a 7 wicket win

Yuvraj Singh led the new franchise (Pune Warriors) to a great win against his old foes Kings XI Punjab. Gilly the new Kings XI Punjab captain won the toss and elected to bat. The early fall of captain himself was a big setback and the players who followed him never applied their minds and fell like a pack of cards.R McLaren was the star and stand out player of Kings XI Punjab. He scored a 50 of 43 balls which helped them to reach to some respectable total. They ended up scoring 112 runs in their alloted 20 overs.

In came Pune Warriors with a easy target to chase. The early dismissal of Grame Smith gave some ray of hope of Kings XI Punjab but some nice cameos by Ryder , Robin Uthappa , Yuvi and M Manhas saw the Pune Warriors home with a 7 wicket victory with 7 overs to spare. This is the first match for Pune Warriors in IPL 4 and they have opened their account in style.

IPL4 is getting bigger and the T20 tournament will start on April 8th. The player who was bought for the highest amount in this IPL is Gautam Gambhir who was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders for $2.4 millions. The other news is that Gautam Gambhir is likely to lead KKR since their prevous captain Ganguly has been ignored by all franchise which means Ganguly will not play in this IPL season.
