Indian Captain Dhoni’s full name is Mahendra Singh Dhoni and his date of birth is 7th July 1981. His wedding took place yesterday with Sakshi(DAV School friend)at the luxurious Vishranthi Resorts at Bidhauli, about 30 kms from Dehradun. Only close friends and relatives were invited to the wedding ceremony. Some of them important personalities attended the wedding are BCCI President Shashank Manohar,ICC chief Sharad Pawar, former Rajasthan C.M Vasundhara Raje, Actor John Abraham, Bollywood director Farah Khan and cricketers Harbhajan Singh,Suresh Raina, Ashish Nehra and R. P. Singh.
His nick name is Mahi. His test debut was in the year 2005 (2nd December 2005) against Sri Lanka. His One Day International debut was against Bangladesh on 23rd December, 2004.
Dhoni has got the name of Coolest Captain of Indian Team. Under Dhoni’s captaincy India won ICC World T20 match in 2007, 2007-08 CB Series match, Border-Gavaskar Trophy in 2008. Dhoni is the captain of Chennai Super Kings in IPL matches. In the recent IPL 2010 match, Dhoni team Chennai Super Kings won the title. Dhoni is the highest ranked One Day International batsman as on January 2010 and he recevid many awards including Padma Shri and Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award.
