Dhoni : India can defend Twenty20 title
M.S.Dhoni feels that Indian team as the fire power to defend the Title. He released a statement to the press in which he said that his team has a bunch of talented guys and if we all play as an unit and perform to our potential we can surely defend the T20 title.
Indian teams only concern now is that Zaheer Khan is not fully fit.Dhoni told that he hopes that Zack must be fit before the first match which starts for them on June 6th against the Bangladesh. There are no favorites in this form of the game but India can have a slight advantage when compared to the other teams because Indian players have played the IPL.I wish Indian team all success.JAI HO India !!!

The ICC World Cup T20 is taking place in England this time.India are the hot favorites for retaining the title. Moreover with the competitive IPL matches getting over only now India have an edge over other teams, nevertheless other teams cannot be taken for granted. The heat is getting on and the pricing of the tickets for the matches is given in this picture. The tickets are available for all the matches that are to conducted, right from the opening ceremony till the final. The matches are to be held in Lord's and Oval, and Trent Bridge.
The ticket pricing comes under 3 packages. The Gold,Silver and Family stand. The maximum ticket rate is £60 for adult and the minimum rate is £10 under the Family stand. The pricing of the ticket may be little higher but it is worth and a spend when compared to the thrill and the excitement. When you ask me to predict a winner I keep the fingers crossed ans would say it should be India.

IPL 2009 : Deccan Charges are the Champions
The story script for Deccan Charges was so perfect that they were the table bottom team last year. This year IPL they were the winners.Perfect finish to a team lead by one of the most humble persons in cricket "Adam Gilcrist".
Rohit Sharma, R.R.Singh were the main and they were instrumental for Deccan Charges win.Ever since Symonds came back to the squad he has been a very key plater for them.Even though if he does not score runs he sledges the batsman very well.Prime example for this would be when he sledged the 19 yer old Manish Pandey.Deccan skipper Adam as also told that Symonds has been really handy for them.
IPL 2009 : Statistics
The overall result of IPL to is a success. The beginning was not so good when compared to IPL 2008 when Mucullum smashed the RCB bowling part. This was different we had low scoring games and spinners had a major part to play and the runs scored in the 20 overs was drastically less when compared to last year.
Nevertheless the matches were very interesting and we witnessed some very close encounters and one match between the Rajasthan Royals and the Kolkata Knight Riders went to become a tie and we had the first Superb Over. The team which looked totally out of socks was the KKR team, but we cannot write them off.Sice the last year table had Deccan and RCB at the bottom of the table. This year those both where the teams which faced each other in the final and DECCAN CHARGES emerged as winners.
IPL 2009 : Adam Gilcrist the most valuable player of IPL
Adam Gilchrist ha been declared as the most valuable player of IPL.He is rated about Mathew Hayden mainly because of his match winning innings in a crucial game against the Delhi Daredevils to take the Deccan Charges team to the finals and then use his cricketing brain to win the most important encounter against the Royal Challengers Bangalore to clinch the title.
Adam Gilcrist and Mathew Hayden both from Australia and retired from Cricket and are of the same age were the most dangerous batsman of this year IPL.Adam Gilcrist at this age of 37 looks really fresh and the exuberance of youth is still there in him.He scored 495 runs at a strike rate of over than 150.Even at this age Adam Gilcrist is one of the dangerous and destructive openers of all time.He is surely a legend of Cricket.

Gilly won the match for Deccan Charges with his swash buckling batting. He attacked the opposition from th word go and Delhi Daredevils had no answer for that.Gilly scored the fastest IPL 50.He scored 85 in 35 balls. He was ruthless from the word go.Earlier after winning the toss Delhi was asked to bat by Deccan Charges.
Deccan made one of the worst possible starts. They lost 2 wickets at the end of the first over..They lost both the openers Gambhir and David Warner.then some good partnership by Sehwag and Dilshan helped Delhi to score 153/8 in alloted 20 overs.Deccan won the match with ease.they scored the runs with 14 balls to spare. Now Deccan are the first finalist. The next finalist will be either Chennai Superb Kings are Royal Challengers Banglore. We have to wait till tomorrow for the winner.

IPL 2 : Points table before semi-finals.Delhi Daredevils top the table
The IPL2 has gone up very well and we have seen some very close matches even this year. The josh is still there for cricket.Only team in this IPL has cemented its dominance so far in this IPL and it is Delhi Daredevils.Sehwag and Gambir have not performed much and still Delhi have topped the table.Still one match to go for each team before semi-finals.Two teams have confirmed their Semis berth. One being the best team so far none other than the Delhi Daredevils and the second team being the Chennai Superb Kings. The main reason for CSK to make it to the semis is mainly because of Mathew Hayden and the cool captaincy of M.S.Dhoni.
The rest of the teams who are in contention for semi-finals are Deccan Charges , Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kings XI Punjab. These three teams are in contention while Rajasthan Royals have slipped slightly. The two teams who are out of the tournament are Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders.I guess the finals will be between Delhi Daredevils and Chennai Superb Kings. They are the two best teams in this IPL so far.We have to wait and see who will be the winner.Since predicting a winner is a very tough job.

Rajasthan Royals the last time champions have got the greatest set back with the captain and the coach Shane Warne who is suffering from a hamstring injury may have to miss the rest of the IPL matches this time.Shane Warne is the mentor of the young Rajasthan Royals team.So the loss of Warne will create a great impact in the rest of the matches played by Rajasthan Royals.
Graeme Smith will be the new captain of Rajsthan Royals.Sources have confirmed that Warne has to sit out for at least the next 10 days. Rajasthan Royals have already last 2 young guns Kamran Khan and Amit Singh for suspect action. So it is not good time for Rajasthan Royals.Inspite of all these problems can we expect Rajasthan Royals to come all guns blazing.

IPL 2009 : Sehwag back for Delhi Daredevils from injury
The stand in skipper Gautam Gambir confirmed that the world's most attacking batsman Sehwag is back in to the squad for the remaining matches. The finger injury for Sehwag is fine now and he will come into the side and will lead the remaining matches.Already Delhi are a team who look very strong. With the return of Sehwag they look much more stronger.
The big issue that Delhi Daredevils have to sort out is that with the return of Sehwag will they have to drop David Warner from the squad are will he come down as a one change batsman. The main question is which two batsman will come as openers foe Delhi. This side is capable of winning the DLF IPL 2009.

The drama of IPL 2009 is getting bigger as the half way stage has been reached. We cannot predict a team who will still has a great contention to win the cup. Each day each team is reaching the top position.Mumbai where the first to top the table then Deccan ,then Chennai Superb Kings topped the table and finally at the half way stage it is Delhi Daredevils who are on the top. Each team has had its ups and downs except Kolkata Knight Riders who are literally out of the tournament. So the heated drama is getting bigger day by day.So people can even watch the matches online.

IPL launches official betting : Modi calls it lottery game and not betting
IPL has launched a controversial betting game asking the fans to predict the score of each over of a live game.According to the rules of this game the entrant as to predict the runs scored of each ball. The minimum prize money for every over is Rs.10,000.The prize money increases based on the number of people playing the game. The cost for each entry I mean each SMS is Rs.5.
The experts feels that this surely a bad idea and this is gambling.Modi defends this by telling that this is just like a texting between friends and not online betting or gambling. The International Cricket Council termed that thy have no rights to control the IPL officials because they are no way linked to IPL.
Modei however has stated that this would continue smoothly until there is no response from the people.I would say Modi is a very shrewd business man and we all know that when he introduced the strategy breaks after 10 overs of each side.

IPL 2 : Highest individual scores
So far in this second edition of the IPL we have only one century from A.b.deVilliers ( 105 ).Very good innings from him.The next best was from Raina in the math against Rajasthan Royals. The scoreboard showed that he was 100 when he got out.But he was only 98 . I rate the way he played that is one of the best innings in this IPL so far.

IPL 2 :Anil Kumble the new captain of Royal Chalengers
Anil Kumble has been declared the new captain of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).Kevin Pieterson the RCB captain who has to turn back to national duty for the Ashes has left the RCB team.So the RCB team was in search of a new captain. The strong contenders for the race were
1) Kallis
2) Rahul Dravid
3) Anil Kumble
Since Kallis is not in the best of the form and Rahul Dravid has gone to India to see his wife who is about to conceive her second baby.Rahul Dravid has not given the return of his exact date hence Anil Kumble has been named the captain of RCB for IPL 2.
Anil Kumble was preferred against Kallis becuase of the respect that Kumble commands from this RCB team and his in a great form with the ball.In the opening match he scalped 5/5 against Rajasthan Royals to tame the Rajasthan Royals.
